Position Purpose:
The AWM Restaurant Barista/Server serves the staff and guests at Andrew Wommack Ministries Headquarters by accurately and efficiently preparing hot and cold drinks as well as preparing and portioning food products before serving. Operate cash register and credit card machines. Cash-out at end of the shift and be accountable for correct cash at closing. Perform other duties such as racking products, counting inventory, labeling, packing, and displaying items for sale.

Essential Duties:
- Efficiently prepare a range of high-quality food items consistently with the approved menu
- Efficiently prepare a range of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and juice ensuring a consistently high-quality beverage
- Bus tables as necessary cleaning the seating area
- Knowledgeable and practices food safety codes and governing standards
- Collects the proper money counting change as needed and works a POS system to charge accurately and accept credit card payments
- Greet guests with professionalism and warmth and take customer food and beverage orders accurately
- Stock vending machine(s) and maintain stock
- Update menu boards by rotating specials
- Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products
- Demonstrate exemplary menu & product knowledge
- Data entry of inventory items purchased from suppliers
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station daily
- Maintain the cleanliness of all displays, counters, and seating areas ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Other duties as directed inclusive of but not limited to serving, clearing, and resetting tables, dishwashing, etc.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Efficient at multi-tasking
- Ability to learn technical skills quickly such as working a POS system.
- Ability to be alert in a high-risk environment.
- Knowledge of food/beverage and retail environment and food safety and hygiene standards
- Able to maintain a calm, patient, and friendly demeanor during periods of high volume
- Able to work successfully as a member of a team
- Able to stand on your feet for long periods
- Must be able to lift/and or move up to 30+ lbs.
- Self-starter and good time management skills
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and basic math skills (able to count change back)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Coordination and organizational skills
- Must be able to operate a POS system
- Must be able to effectively operate Windows-based computer
Requirements:
- Able to work in continuously standing positions for five or more hours
- Must have morning availability (Hours vary between 6 am – 2 pm)
- A clean and modest appearance is required.
- Good hygiene is required.
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign Statement of Faith.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- 6+ months of Customer Service experience preferred.
- 3+ months of experience in food service preferred.
- Any of the following certifications are a plus: CP-FS, OSHA Safety, NAMA CCS, CFPP, PCA, AED, CPR
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
