Position Summary:
The Clinic Administrator is responsible for the overall operations, administration, and financial performance of the clinic. This role ensures efficient day-to-day operations, quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the development of a positive and productive work environment. The Practice Administrator serves as a key liaison between providers, staff, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee the daily administrative functions of the practice.
- Develop and implement workflows, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure the practice is adequately staffed and that schedules are managed to optimize patient flow.
- Coordinate facility management and ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Financial Oversight
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the practice’s budget and financial performance.
- Analyze and report on financial metrics including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Oversee billing and collections processes to ensure timely and accurate reimbursements.
- Collaborate with finance to implement cost-containment strategies and maximize reimbursement.
Patient Relations & Quality Assurance
- Promote excellent patient service and resolve patient complaints or concerns in a timely manner.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and accreditation efforts.
Provider Support
- Serve as the primary administrative contact for physicians and providers.
- Facilitate communication between providers and administrative staff.
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and operational support for clinical care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, or related field preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in medical practice or healthcare operations management.
- Working knowledge of EHR systems, practice management software, and medical billing practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office setting within a clinical environment.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work based on operational needs.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
