Free People is looking for an International Merchandise Planner who will be responsible for forecasting demand, analyzing sales trends, managing inventory levels, and identifying opportunities to drive growth for the eCommerce and Wholesale Channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong Excel skills, a passion for data, and a connection to the Free People brand.
Role Responsibilities:- Develop International eCommerce demand sales plans in partnership with Planning leadership
- Own topline and category-level sales budgets, forecasts, and margin goals for eComm
- Own topline and category-level inventory plans for Int’l eCommerce (OTB) and WS Int’l
- Run International key item forecasts and ladder plans for eCommerce and WS and ensure receipt flow to maximize sales and mitigate inventory risk
- Analyze historical data, current trends and provide hindsight reporting to inform product opportunities and selection in each region
- Monitor KPIs including sales, sell-through, inventory turn, margin, fill rate, and return rate to identify risks and opportunities in pre-planning phase as well as in season
- Work closely with eCommerce operations, site merchandising, marketing, planning, and sales teams to ensure alignment on inventory placement strategies
- Help set up and manage monthly Int’l Sales/Merch/Buying Buying Calendar to optimize inventory decision making
Role Qualifications:
- 5+ years of planning experience
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Results-driven with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Creative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinker
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- International/Global eComm Planning experience preferred
