Punahou School is actively recruiting two debate coaches and one speech coach who will assist students in preparing for tournaments by providing feedback on cases and speeches and supporting student captains in their leadership of the team. Coaches will also be responsible for judging tournaments once or twice per month (schedule to be determined).
Position Details:
- Work Year: 9 Months
- School Year: 2025-2026
- Work Hours: Mondays and Thursdays, 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM, Occasional Saturdays, Schedule may vary based on operational needs.
- Stipend Amount: $1,100 per semester
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background in speech and debate, with debate experience in Public Forum and/or Lincoln-Douglas formats preferred.
- Strong communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to fostering a positive team environment.
