ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Guest service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality staff service.
- Assist supervision of staff including hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, operational orientation, and staff development.
- Patrols/inspects assigned areas, including casino, hotel, golf course, Tamastslikt, and RV Park for irregularities or undesirable persons.
- Protects employees, customers, and Resort property.
- Monitors all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
- Writes detailed reports on accidents, administers first aid, and provides assistance as required.
- Follows established protocol for reporting any tribal, federal, and/or applicable state ordinance violations as observed or documented.
- Ensure regular inspection and proper maintenance of fire suppression equipment.
- Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; file reports on same.
- Writes detailed reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage, etc.
- Escorts and ensures transfer of money and chips from all necessary casino locations.
- Conduct alcohol & and drug testing as requested and transport employees for confirmation testing.
- Assist the shift manager in the supervision of the security officers, valet, and drivers. In the shift manager's absence, assume supervisory authority.
- Promote understanding and compliance with security procedures, internal controls, personnel policies, and guidelines as directed. Train and guide employees accordingly.
- Ensures compliance requirements are followed through regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, codes, etc.
- Promotes a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
- Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, materials, etc. are maintained and handled safely.
- Promote internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respect through a positive attitude.
- Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
- Limited authority over employees and customers about maintaining order and protection of Casino assets.
- Act as a supervisor in the supervisor's absence.
SIGNATORY ABILITY:
- Fills and credits for Pit as a runner.
- Keys for table drop, slot drop, and bad beat drop.
- Jackpot verification.
- All keys are authorized as listed in Key Control Logs.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:
- Pit area.
- Any sensitive area, upon request, when accompanied by the department supervisor or MOD.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One (1) year of security gaming or law enforcement experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
- Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills with spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Strong literacy skills are required to comprehend and compose detailed written reports.
- Public relations or guest service skills.
- Stand and/or walk for long periods (4-5 hours) of time in a smoke-filled noisy environment; tolerate exposure to adverse weather conditions; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers and maneuver bulky items.
- Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and maintains a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
- Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Supervisory skills.
- Valid CDL.
