Position Summary
The Senior Mortgage Loan Sales Manager is a leadership position responsible for driving loan production, leading mortgage sales initiatives, and overseeing day-to-day performance of loan originators within the branch. With five or more years of mortgage industry leadership experience, this role blends strategic oversight with hands-on support to ensure branch growth, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager works closely with the Branch Manager to align team efforts with broader company goals.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mortgage loan originators to achieve individual and collective sales targets
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance loan production and client experience
- Monitor pipeline activity, sales metrics, and conversion rates to maintain operational efficiency
- Ensure that all originators adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., TRID, RESPA, state and federal lending laws)
- Collaborate with branch leadership on marketing strategies, lead generation, and outreach initiatives
- Review loan files and documentation to ensure quality and compliance prior to processing
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and mentorship of new originators
- Serve as a subject matter expert on loan products, systems, and industry trends
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical lending practices
- Participate in branch leadership meetings and contribute to business planning and sales forecasting
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in mortgage lending and sales management
- Valid NMLS license and thorough understanding of mortgage loan programs and guidelines
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive production in a fast-paced sales environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with loan origination systems and reporting tool
