Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Scottsdale, AZ with a flexible in-office schedule and regular travel to properties. The Property Manager of Operations will mentor and support the President, Regional Managers, and onsite teams while monitoring key performance indicators such as occupancy, rent collections, and resident retention. Responsibilities include conducting property site visits to audit operations and provide staff support, overseeing operating budgets, analyzing financial performance, and recommending corrective actions. The role also ensures compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Fair Housing, ADA, and landlord/tenant laws. Additional duties include partnering with HR on recruiting, training, and performance management, driving process improvements through technology and workflow optimization, and providing operational reporting to ownership and executive leadership.

 

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Property Management and Operations Management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards
  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in Scottsdale, AZ and Travel within Arizona and to other states for onsite leadership and support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with affordable multi-family properties is a plus
  • Active Real Estate or Broker’s License, or the ability to obtain within 90 days
