The job:
We are seeking a Applications Specialist to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and working with business systems like ERP and CRM. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to resolve technical and functional issues efficiently while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. The skills you need:
What will you do in this role:
- Be the go-to person for employees needing support with business applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ERP, CRM, and other key systems.
- Provide guidance, training, and resources to help users get the most out of our systems.
- Document solutions and contribute to user guides and knowledge bases.
- Partner with IT, Business Analysts, and vendors on escalated issues and system updates.
Education, Experience and Ability Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred
- Two (2+) years of experience in application support, help desk, or related field
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other business systems (IFS, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who enjoys working with people and solving problems
- Communication: Ability to clearly convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Customer Focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Uses logic and analytical thinking to resolve complex issues
- Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Adaptability: Responds positively to changing priorities and business needs
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and support tasks
- Initiative: Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and user experiences
