Senior Windows IoT Engineer (Contractor)
The Senior Windows IoT Engineer will have the opportunity to work on complex medical devices, robotics, and industrial equipment. This position works in a fast-paced cross-functional team, requiring an individual who is a software engineer with a passion for DevOps, or a DevOps engineer with significant software engineering experience.
This is a contract hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite at our HQ in Westborough, MA.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
· Create and deploy optimized Windows IoT images.
· Execute all elements of the development lifecycle, from planning and design to reviews and verification.
· Communicate designs and resolve feedback with internal teams and clients.
· Work independently with strong initiative in a fast-paced environment.
· 5-10% travel for integration and testing in client environments.
KEY SKILLS:
· 5+ years of experience with the following or similar technologies:
· Windows IoT Enterprise image creation
· Windows IoT deployment experience, including tools like Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit
· Windows device driver integration
· Creation of bootable Windows PE media
· Proficiency in scripting for automated image customization and deployment
· Troubleshooting and debugging issues related to image deployment, drivers and device functionality
· Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, SVN, or other industry-standard source control)
· Experience using Agile techniques, including task / issue management
· Demonstrated commitment to high quality
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Experience applying DISA STIGs security guidelines
· Experience working under IEC 62304 or similar standards working with medical devices or other safety critical systems
