Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and provide series support for E/E components ensuring compliance with regulations, functional requirements, quality, cost, and weight objectives.
• Create and update component requirement specifications, integrating safety requirements, and contribute to concept and vehicle specifications.
• Plan and manage component schedules (hardware/software release versions) aligned with vehicle-level milestones, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate supplier development activities, including requirement handovers, FMEA monitoring, test execution, and defect management.
• Lead ECU-level activities: coding release, diagnosis support, functional testing, and documentation across development, plant, and aftersales phases.
• Define, plan, and coordinate component testing (Daimler labs, supplier sites, and vehicle level), ensuring compliance with EMC and power supply standards.
• Drive change request management, component release approvals, and alignment with module strategy and vehicle integration.

Required Skills and Experience:
• 3–9 years of experience in automotive electronics product development, preferably with Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
• Strong knowledge of automotive electronics in Body electronics, Powertrain, or Safety systems.
• Hands-on experience with ECU/system development processes at OEMs/Tier-1s, including requirements management (e.g., DOORS), FMEA, testing, and defect management.
• Exposure to ECU development of medium-complexity components (e.g., Cluster ECU, Seat Control ECU, Immobilizer, Keyless Entry).
• Good understanding of automotive power supply, diagnostics, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to collaborate with global teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with demonstrated ability to drive supplier coordination and technical discussions.


Educational Qualifications:
• B.E./M.Tech (full-time) from reputed institutions with specialization in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Mechatronics / Instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Experience with Daimler systems (EPDM, EVS, AE, PPF) and processes.
• Exposure to international development projects and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Knowledge of ECU functional testing environments (S-HIL, C-HIL, proto-build shop).
• Familiarity with automotive standards and validation methods.
