We are supporting a leading insurance firm with their Workday implementation. The project is entering its final testing phase and the business requires a consultant to step in and execute testing activities to ensure the system is fit for purpose.
Test scenarios and stories have already been defined - this role will focus on running those tests, validating outcomes and capturing defects. The consultant will liaise with technical teams to ensure any bugs or issues are clearly reported, tracked, and resolved.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute predefined test scenarios and test stories within the Workday platform.
- Validate outputs against business requirements, ensuring alignment with financial processes.
- Identify, document and escalate bugs or defects, working closely with technical and project teams.
- Process documentation.
- Provide clear reporting on test progress and outcomes.
- Provide training to offshore teams.
- Support end-user readiness by ensuring testing reflects real-world usage.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience testing Workday implementations.
- Workday knowledge specifically within a finance context (e.g. payments, accounts payable).
- Familiarity with user stories, test cases, and defect management.
- Prior experience in the London Market insurance sector is highly advantageous.
- Accounts payable background (or detailed understanding of payment processing workflows) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
