Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment where there’s always something happening? The Georgetown Branch, located in the lively Georgetown Square shopping center, is one of ACPL’s busiest locations. We serve a diverse community of seniors, families, and a large group of middle school students who visit daily after school. As a Branch Assistant, you’ll provide outstanding customer service by helping with library cards, answering questions, checking materials in and out, and offering basic computer support—all while keeping the branch running smoothly.
This position is 28 hours per week and will include a mix of days, evenings, and Saturday hours.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; AND one (1) year of customer service OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay is $13.77 per hour with potential increase based on related and comparable work experience

Physical Demands
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds; agility to bend, reach and climb; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
