Summary/Objective
The Court Liaison coordinates procedures for mental health commitments.
Essential Job Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Maintains and ensures accuracies of all required documentation for commitments and court hearings.
- Oversees commitment process and ensures all required documentation is provided in a timely manner at courts request.
- Contacts significant persons in a timely manner to explain the court process, date, and time to be present for involuntary court hearings and ensure understanding of directions given.
- Communicates expiring patients' commitments to appropriate staff and plans ahead if a second physician certification is needed.
- Works with the court judge’s office in setting up hearings and ensuring court requests are met.
Assists in the Admissions Department as need.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of related experience.
Required License/Certifications
Have or agree to obtain and maintain Notary certification
