Food & Beverage General Manager

Location: The Standard Spa, Miami Beach
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage

Position Overview:

The Food & Beverage General Manager is a dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and guest experience across all food and beverage outlets at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach — including Lido Bayside, Belle/Pool, Café Standard, and Monterrey Bar. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, a deep passion for hospitality, and a strong grasp of Miami’s evolving culinary and social landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the daily operations of all four outlets, ensuring alignment with brand standards and the property's ethos.
  • Ensure each outlet delivers a seamless guest experience — from breakfast at Café Standard to late-night cocktails at Monterrey Bar.
  • Maintain a visible presence across venues to coach and support teams and address guest feedback in real time.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Inspire, lead, and mentor a diverse team of outlet managers, supervisors, and front-of-house staff.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to cultivate a high-performing, hospitality-driven team.
  • Foster a culture rooted in creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

Financial & Business Performance:

  • Partner with culinary and beverage directors/chefs to analyze menu performance and implement initiatives that drive profitability and innovation.
  • Forecast and schedule based on business trends, seasonal activations, and special events.

Guest Experience

  • Champion elevated service and curated guest interactions across all touchpoints.
  • Ensure each outlet tells its own story while staying connected to The Standard’s playful, design-forward brand voice.
  • Collaborate on programming and events that enhance the overall guest experience, from poolside activations to speakeasy jazz nights at Monterrey.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Maintain operational compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure all service, cleanliness, and brand standards are consistently upheld.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sieze, grasp, turn,and hold objects with hands

• Work with sharp objects in a safe manner

• Work around flammable materials

Will be exposed to hot and cold temperature extremes

Must be able to move, pull, carry, and lift at least 50 pounds of force

Occasionally kneeling, sitting, crouching and climbing

Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, multi-outlet hospitality operations.
  • Deep knowledge of both front- and back-of-house operations.
  • Experience managing premium lifestyle or boutique hotel F&B programs strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of team leadership, financial acumen, and guest satisfaction.
  • Passionate about food, drink, culture, and the art of hospitality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric, and design-minded environment.
