Company Description:

We’re an Industrial AI start-up founded by a Stanford professor and led by recognized leaders in AI/ML and Aerospace & Defense analytics.

Our product: an Enterprise SaaS platform that powers supply chain optimization for the U.S. Air Force’s 5,000-aircraft fleet ($100B yearly sustainment budget). It combines proprietary AI Engines that handle scarce/noisy data with Agentic AI interfaces (LLMs + RAG) to deliver explainable insights.

We’ve delivered $200M+ in documented cost savings, secured repeat USAF contracts, and are scaling 4x growth with a medium-term M&A exit strategy.

Job Description:

We’re hiring an AI Application Engineer to build, integrate, and deploy our AI Engines and Agentic AI workflows. You’ll work across algorithms, pipelines, and interfaces—making our AI explainable, scalable, and impactful.

You’ll start on a consulting basis (competitive hourly rate), with the opportunity to move into a full-time role with equity as you demonstrate impact.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop & support AI Engines (algorithms, interfaces, documentation, customization).
  • Build data pipelines (consistency checks, preprocessing, normalization).
  • Support scalable deployment via our CI/CD + DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Integrate AI outputs with LLM tools via RAG for an Agentic AI experience.
  • Collaborate with the cloud team and occasionally with customers (data issues, insights, business value).
Qualifications:

Must-haves

  • Degree in Engineering, Applied Math, CS, Physics, or related field.
  • Experience with analytical applications and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on skills in at least some of:
    • Statistics

    • Signal processing
  • Experience with MATLABJavaGitHub (Actions).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Pluses

  • Model-based development / simulation-based verification.
  • Shell scripting, Golang.
  • Experience with GenAI / LLM augmentation (RAG).
Additional Information:

US Citizenship Required: This position requires the ability to work with Controlled Unclassified Information for the Department of Defense.

Location: This is a remote position. USA, Nationwide. Proximity to either our Palo Alto, CA or Atlanta, GA office is a plus.

Flexible schedule initially: full-time or part-time but no less than 10 hours/ week
