Your Role
As a Team Leader within IAG Underwriting Platform Business - Broker Personal Lines, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading a team of underwriters to consistently deliver high-quality customer service and underwriting excellence. You’ll oversee daily work allocation, provide hands-on coaching and champion continuous improvement initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
In this role you’ll:
- Lead and support a team of underwriters, ensuring alignment with the Portfolio Business Plan and underwriting strategy.
- Drive performance through targeted training, skill development, and regular feedback to enhance partner advocacy and service quality.
- Monitor customer interactions, providing timely coaching to improve outcomes and resolve escalations effectively.
- Manage resource planning to meet workload demands while maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and underwriting standards, upholding our commitment to quality and integrity.
As a people leader, you’ll:
- Motivate and inspire your team to achieve key performance targets.
- Role model our organisational values and foster a culture of safety, wellbeing, and collaboration.
- Promote a purpose-driven environment focused on delivering exceptional results for our customers and partners.
This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants from Naarm (Melbourne).
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role within insurance or a related industry.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively to meet key performance indicators and organizational goals.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and fostering a positive, energetic team culture.
- Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and stakeholder relationship management capabilities.
- Sound judgment and business acumen, complemented by strong organisational and coaching skills.
