Our role:

As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the design, configuration and implementation of Objective's Software Products. The role requires you to work closely with Senior Technical Consultants, Business Consultants and Project Managers providing and/or assisting with technical installations and associated tasks.

This role reports to the Regional Services Director and does not have people management responsibilities.


A day in your role:
  • Project Delivery - Responsible for on time, within the estimate, delivery of all assigned technical tasks 
  • Product Installation and Upgrades - Responsible for successful installation, testing certification, and upgrades, of the Objective software within the customer environment.
  • Data Migration - Work closely with the project team to determine the required data migration, develop migration scripts, and test the migration process.
  • Integration and Customisation - Responsible for configuration and testing of API and Webservices based integrations and develop customisations where required.
  • Testing and Support - Work with the project team to test the end to end solution and provide ongoing support during User Acceptance Testing and Go Live.
  • Ad-Hoc Support - Provide onsite consulting services on an ad-hoc basis to assist customers with the ongoing maintenance of their solution. Services will include maintenance, problem resolution, health checks, tuning and customisation.
  • Best Practice Contributions - Ensure continuous improvement in the “way we work at Objective Corporation” through contribution to ‘Best Practice’ via improvements in our methodology.  Contribute to the Communities of Practice and Body of Knowledge, including the Objective library of re-usable software components


  • Your skills, experience and beyond:
  • Experience in implementing technical solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with Relational Database Management Systems such as SQL Server or Oracle. Knowledge of SQL.
  • Exposure to general use and administration of Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10). Exposure to Unix (Solaris) is also beneficial.
  • Programming experience in one of the following langauages: C/C++, Java, .Net.
  • Good to have: Experience of working with public sector customers.
