The Finance Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE) focusses on three areas delivering a high-level of financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables agility and flexibility for stakeholders. The eCoE is a talent engine for Finance through capability building and network building.

There are three focus areas within eCoE: Financial Backbone, Digital Innovation and Analytics and Insights

We are looking for individuals who display the Finance Mindset & Behaviors, and support a living organism that leverages the business knowledge and financial expertise of the network to deliver exceptional results for Finance and Roche. Team members partner with RSS, FEPs and the Business to deliver many of Finance's core processes and deliverables while also driving process scaling, simplification and harmonization, as well as progressing our digital ambition.

The Opportunity:

  • Support the monthly actual reporting events (incl. variance analysis), annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with the overall Group Finance processes.

  • Own the master data creation, maintenance process for Global Procurement and People & Culture ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Enable / support the successful implementation of organizational changes

  • Collaborate with Global Procurement and People & Culture teams and FEPs, and senior leaders, to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data to provide clear and actionable insights in alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial materials for leadership team meetings and other communication, and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario planning to support new business initiatives and ley decisions (e.g. resource allocation).

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, based on Digital and AI notably, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting activities. 

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the organization’s financial planning processes remain relevant and effective.

  • Collaborate with other colleagues in the GFF Network on key initiatives in a high-performance work environment.  

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.      

  • 5-7 + years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles with strong and proven experience of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to details.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP in particular), Digital and AI is a big plus.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to leverage the broader Finance network to effectively deliver on impactful work.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and set the right ones, efficiently allocate resources with the right capabilities to deliver on impactful outcomes.
