Position Summary: We are seeking experienced and compassionate Occupational Health Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our mobile healthcare team in Southern California (San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties).Primary responsibilities include administering flu vaccines to individuals 6 months and older, and performing respiratory specimen collections for both pediatric and adult patients for flu and COVID-19 testing. This position requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a mobile health setting. 

Requirements

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Administer flu vaccinations to patients ages 6 months and older in compliance with clinical guidelines and safety standards.
  • Collect respiratory specimens (nasal, nasopharyngeal, or other approved methods) for flu and COVID-19 testing in pediatric and adult populations. 
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and transport of collected specimens.
  • Conduct patient intake, screening, and documentation in accordance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide patient education on vaccines, respiratory testing, and follow-up care as needed.
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards in a mobile healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with other mobile health team members to support efficient workflow, patient throughput, and quality outcomes. 
  • Monitor for and respond to any adverse reactions to vaccines or procedures. 
  • Assist with set-up, operation, and breakdown of the mobile clinic as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Current AHA BLS.
  • Must be comfortable with patients of all ages including pediatric. 
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience; occupational health, urgent care, or community health experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in vaccination administration and specimen collection (pediatric and adult).
  • Ability to work independently and in a mobile, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality of care.
  • Travel, as required.

Salary Description
$70.00-$85.00/hr
