Scope of Work:
Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW, to transport and deliver goods or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged. Will be required to load and unload truck. Requires commercial driver’s license with Commercial Driver’s License class A with the following endorsements: Passenger, Hazardous Material and Tanker.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Perform various duties such as road patching, dirt hauling, fence repair, remove fallen trees, and support the other shops as needed.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality.
- Document regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance.
- Provide preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly.
- Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
- Perform minor repairs on equipment issues.
- Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties.
- Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger, Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements.
- 3+ years of experience working with heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards.
- Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment.
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment.
- Strong work ethic.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must have knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, crouching, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
