General Summary: Performs routine work to maintain the School’s Uihlein Ice Arena and facilities in a clean and orderly condition during the day, evening, or weekend shift, while providing services to students, staff, and faculty in a safe and effective manner. This is a flexible, part-time position working 15-20 hours per week, typically first shift between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains a high standard of cleanliness in the areas assigned
- Performs general building maintenance: cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and classrooms, as well as other school areas. Dusts, washes windows, scrubs walls, cleans furniture, fills dispensers, moves furniture, cleans dining areas, cleans drinking fountains, cleans trash cans, checks and cleans equipment, etc.
- Performs floor maintenance: picks up trash, removes gum, vacuums, sweeps, dry and wet mops, scrubs, waxes and buffs floors.
- Operates cleaning equipment such as, but not limited to, vacuum cleaner, scrubber, buffer, wet and dry mops, and brooms.
- Assists with the setup of School facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
- Assists in meeting all codes and regulations in order to provide a safe and healthy facility.
- Works collaboratively with administrators and colleagues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: high school diploma or G.E.D. and 1-3 years' experience.
