Job Description:
Mixer position is critical to the overall quality of the product during the initial starting of the process. This candidate must possess an eye to detail with knowledge of weights, measurements and accuracy. This candidate will be working with powdered forms of inert metals and must adhere to safety procedures.
Duties:
• Checking accuracy of mixing scale per BR-MSWCL. Record your findings on Log Sheets BR-MSWCLS & BR-M.HWSI; also, date and initial the log sheets.
• Following directions for the recipe on the Mix Sheet and verify all components are being mixed properly.
• Follow the mixing instruction on the Mix Sheet, Mixing Times, Hook and Spindle ranges and Vacuum readings. Notify Manager if any readings are out of stated ranges.
• Recording all the material Lot numbers, Temp, Hook Weight, Spindle, Vacuum readings and mix total weight on the Mixing Area Report Sheet BR-M.MXRPT
• Verify correct quantity as called for on Mix Sheet is being produced for the order.
• Advice the Oven Lead person on any changes you had to make in the recipe from pot to pot on the run.
• Keep Production Manager informed of inventory levels.
• Assist in training new employees in the mixing process.
Skills/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Basic computer knowledge, Basic spread sheet knowledge. Ability to read a tape measure.
• Mechanically inclined / Fork Truck Certification preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Routine & minimal visual requirements (reading with attention to detail, shapes, shadows, contrasts)
• Moderate and light lifting/carrying - up to 25lbs.
• Heavy lifting/carrying- up to 100lbs.
