Role Summary:
CPC Climate Capital is seeking a current graduate student intern with a strong interest in climate finance, sustainable real estate, or impact investing. This role will support financial modeling, investment analysis, and research related to innovative capital strategies for decarbonizing multifamily housing.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in building and maintaining Excel-based financial models for multifamily housing investments.
- Assist in developing and maintaining fund-level financial models to support the design, structuring, and performance forecasting of alternative credit vehicles focused on energy and resilience upgrades in multifamily housing.
- Assist in structuring and evaluating projects to enable energy and resilience upgrades.
- Support the preparation of investment memos, market research, and impact reporting materials.
- Help analyze property-level data, including rent rolls, operating statements, and capital improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members on special projects related to fund design, market development, and product development.
Skills and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (e.g., MBA, MPA, M.S. in Climate Finance, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or related field).
- Strong interest in climate finance, sustainable housing, or impact investing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
- Experience with real estate underwriting, climate-aligned investment platforms, or alternative credit financing tools preferred.
- Knowledge of multifamily housing finance preferred.
- A self-starter, with the ability to take ownership and accountability of tasks.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to think outside of the box and creatively problem-solve
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
This is a part-time, hybrid intern program where you will work from our New York City office ideally 1 - 2 days a week. We’re also open to remote candidates located in the Washington, D.C. area, with periodic travel to our Manhattan office as needed. $22 / hour pay rate, up to 20 hours / week through May 2026.
