Responsibilities:
Where You'll Make An Impact
- To re-upholster, repair, or maintain the tables, chairs and all furniture as needed/directed. Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, and/or staples.
- Ensure guests to Live! Casino & Hotel enjoy a positive experience due to cleanliness of the property.
- Welcomes and interacts with guests and other team members with a genuine display of caring and friendliness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes and products.
- Advance carpet knowledge including being able to install custom carpets.
- Normal felting and upholster skills.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Must be able to sew, rivet, and disassemble for reassemble.
- Ability to read, follows instructions, and understands visual aids.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines.
- Ability to answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; always pay attention to the needs of guests.
A Few Must Haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in upholstery.
- One (1) to two (2) years carpentry experience.
- Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
Physical Requirements
- Able to communicate using a two-way radio with ear piece.
- Able to push/lift up to 20 pounds.
- Able to stand and/or walk up to 7 ½ hours per shift.
- Able to stoop, crouch, and kneel.
- Able to reach with arms.
- Able to ascend/descend stairs for at least 7 ½ hours per shift.
- Able to work in a loud work environment.
