Job Title: Facilities Attendant
Department: Facilities
Location: Albany & Troy Clubhouse
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Salary: $16 per hour, 16 hours per week
Hours & Schedule: Part-time; Variable schedule with advance notice provided; may include some evening or weekend hours based on facility needs
SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS
- Primary schedule will be established with supervisor
- Two weeks advance notice provided for regular schedule changes
- Some flexibility required for special events or seasonal needs
- Schedule may occasionally include evening or weekend hours
- Travel between Albany and Troy locations as needed

Overview of Your Role
The Facilities Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments at our Boys & Girls Club facilities. This position ensures all areas - including common spaces, restrooms, offices, and activity rooms - meet our high standards for cleanliness and safety, directly supporting the health and well-being of our staff, members, and visitors.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for abiding by organizational and department policies.
- Participates in company culture initiatives within the department.
- Maintains relationships with external partners and liaisons.
- Conducts day-to-day operations.
Requirements
CREDENTIALS, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
? High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in custodial or facility maintenance is a plus.
? Minimum of one year of work experience in cleaning, janitorial, or facilities maintenance
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic cleaning practices, equipment, and supplies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft/Google products for completing digital records or supply tracking.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Must pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors
