Job Title: Apartment Community Painter

Job Summary:

The Apartment Community Painter will be responsible for preparing, painting, and maintaining various surfaces within the apartment Community. This role includes tasks such as wall painting, exterior maintenance, touch-ups, and ensuring all painting jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. The painter will work to improve the aesthetic appearance of the apartment Community and contribute to the upkeep of its overall condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Clean, scrape, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint. This includes removing old paint, patching holes, and fixing cracks or damaged areas on walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces.
• Painting and Finishing: Apply coats of paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and trim, both indoors and outdoors.
• Maintenance and Touch-ups: Perform regular touch-ups and maintenance of painted surfaces as necessary to ensure the Community remains in good condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials such as paint fumes and chemicals.
• Equipment and Material Management: Ensure tools, paints, and supplies are properly maintained and stored. Order materials as needed.
• Coordination with the Maintenance Team: Work closely with the building’s maintenance team to address painting-related needs or repairs and ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service and communication to residents or management when needed, ensuring that work areas are clean and organized.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all painting work is performed to a high standard, with attention to detail and a focus on longevity and appearance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a painter, particularly in residential or commercial properties.
• Familiarity with painting techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to painting and working with chemicals.

Requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with exterior painting and working in various weather conditions.
• Certification in painting or related fields.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on needs.
