High-impact technology senior lawyer to work with lead AI counsel and global legal and regulatory team to understand, influence, and interpret global regulations and laws with respect Artificial Intelligence as they apply to Lenovo’s business and products, assist worldwide multifunction team in implementing compliance processes, and provide counsel to diverse client groups regarding legal and regulatory matters relating to artificial intelligence generally.Responsibilities: Understand and interpret global legal and regulatory requirements as they apply to Artificial Intelligence and Lenovo’s operations and productsWork with internal and external government relations professionals and outside counsel to strategically engage with relevant regulators and agenciesAssist global legal and compliance team in developing and implementing compliance measuresProvide advice and support to diverse clients groups regarding AI legal mattersWork seamlessly with global legal team as a subject matter expert on AI lawNegotiate agreements with vendors, customers, and technology partners with respect to AI services, products, and technologiesBasic Qualifications:JD and admission to practice12+ years of counseling, drafting and negotiation experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably focused on AI, software, SaaS, and related technologiesExperience with legal and regulatory interpretation with respect to advanced technologyDemonstrated effective interpersonal interaction, including with executives in a highly customer-satisfaction focused environmentPreferred Qualifications:Developed critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills, with a willingness to get into the details of complex problems and drive creative solutionsExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsDetail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressureDemonstrated exceptional judgment, integrity and ability to give practical advice appropriately weighing legal and business objectivesA strong team player who can work well with colleagues in all functional groupsCommitted to his/her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with constructive actionThe base salary budgeted range for this position is $190k - 210K.
