Middle School Girls Cross Country Coach

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Carrollton Middle School Cross Country Coach is responsible for leading, teaching, and mentoring student-athletes in the cross country program. The coach will emphasize academics, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth while fostering a positive and supportive environment. This is a coaching-only position, and applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
REPORTS TO: Jacob Premo- Athletic Director of Carrollton Public School
COMPENSATION: The Middle School Girls Cross Country Coach will be paid in accordance with the CEA contract “Appendix B”
Qualifications
Excellent leadership qualities.
Passion for developing youth both athletically and holistically.
Experience supervising others is desired.
Previous coaching experience is desired.
Must satisfactorily pass:
Essential Job Responsibilities
Assist athletes in developing positive values, morals, and life skills.
Teach the fundamentals of the sport and ensure student-athletes understand the rules and strategies of the game.
Evaluate athletes’ abilities, identify mistakes, and provide corrective instruction to support skill development.
Collaborate with the athletic director to develop and implement program goals, practice plans, and game strategies.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play among student-athletes.
Foster a positive team spirit and encourage leadership development.
Instill self-confidence in athletes through encouragement and constructive feedback.
Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, players, and the Athletic Director when necessary.
