(Approximately one day per week, 7:45 AM - 8:45 AM, before competition. More hours may be added nearing competition.)
$1515 Annually
Jon Summary: Provide support and coordination for the Envirothon program.
Essential Functions:
1. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Envirothon program, including curriculum, guidelines, and logistics 2. Guide students in developing environmental awareness, knowledge, and practical skills to address natural resource challenges 3. Provide leadership for student team, presenting the program, organizing participation, and supporting competitions 4. Build effective working relationships with stakeholders 5. Organize outdoor learning experiences and field trips to enhance student understanding of the environment 6. Work closely with the local county's conservation district, that provides the official curriculum and support for the program
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma, or equivalent 2. Proven ability to manage and lead an environmental program, requiring strong organizational and decision-making skills 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse groups 4. Knowledgeable about current environmental and educational practices
Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting, standing, lifting, and moving throughout the school and outdoors (inside and outside environmental conditions).
Must be able to hear (40 decibel loss maximum), verbally communicate, and have vision requirements of near acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of 20 feet or more with depth perception and field of vision.
