                     POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

 

TITLE:    21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS GRANT COORDINATOR 

             FULL-TIME, 12-MONTH

             GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP CAMPUS

 

QUALIFICATIONS:        

 

    1.  Bachelor's degree and Camden County Substitute Teachers' certificate.

 

    2.  Preferred experience in an educational setting delivering and managing high quality extended

         day and summer programs.

 

    3.  Preferred experience working in a public high school.

 

    4.  Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

 

    5.  Excellent written and oral communications skills.

 

    6.  Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel.

 

    7.  Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S.

         citizenship or legal resident alien status.

 

    8.  Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ

         within 35 days of employment.

 

    9.  Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' 

         Nepotism Policy, File Code: 0142.1.

 

Salary is based on education and experience according to the Board of Education

of the Camden County Technical Schools - Starting salary $60,000.

Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications

for the position.

 

POSITION GOALS:    Manage the budget, activities, and processes to achieve the goals and objectives

                                   of 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Program.

 

REPORTS TO:           Supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

    1.  Work with district and other personnel associated with the program to assure achievement

         of grant goals and objectives.

 

    2.  Participate in grant activities as delineated in grant program activity plan.

 

    3.  Coordinate the activities of others as delineated in grant program activity plan.

 

    4.  Manage the grant budget in accordance with the NJDOE and District approved program description,

         activities, evaluation process, and budget detail.

 

    5.  Assure that requisitions, purchases orders, vouchers, and related supporting documentation 

         accurately reflect grant accounting codes in accordance with approved grant budget detail.

 

    6.  Initiate the purchase of materials and services in a timely matter to insure maximum benefit to grant

         beneficiaries. 

 

    7.  Prepare recommendations for budget revisions in timely manner to assure expenditure of all grant

         funds.

 

    8.  Prepare drafts of required interim, final and other required / requested reports for review by the

         district project coordinator, school business administrator and assistant superintendent.

   

    9.  Maintain participant files, program forms, and other project files.

 

  10.  Develop calendar of activities and programs in collaboration with district and school administration

         and staff.

 

  11.  Meet with district and school administration, key program staff, instructors, partners, collaborators,

         evaluator, etc. on a regularly schedule basis to ensure proper implementation of program activities.

 

  12.  Coordinate the 21st Century Community Center advisory board meetings and ensure

         implementation of sustainability plan.

 

  13.  Manage scheduling of site coordinators, instructors, staff and program participants.

 

  14.  Conduct program orientation for staff, parents, students, volunteers, and key program staff.

 

  15.  Attend mandated project directors’ meetings and required professional  development training,

         seminars, etc.

 

  16.  Ensure compliance with evaluation requirements including data-entry into federal and state

         data-collection systems.

 

   17.  Perform other duties as assigned.
