Pilgrim Area Collaborative is a public educational collaborative that serves students with a wide range of disabilities from primary through post-secondary levels from all over the South Shore.
We have a full-time position to start in our Pilgrim Academy program immediately.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field and BCBA licensure ; 3-5 years of experience working with students, families, and educators in home and school settings; Willing and available to work a schedule that may involve afternoon and evening hours; Experience in staff/parent training, professional development, and student assessment preferred; Experience working with students who have developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, or social-emotional/behavior disorders across all grade levels

Performance Responsibilities:
General:
- Develop material, provide resources for, and provide professional development and training to district administrators, educators, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, and other related disabilities.
- Work closely with administrators, related service providers, special education teachers, general education teachers, and paraprofessionals to ensure that the programming needs of students are being met.
- Plan and oversee the development and implementation of school and home programs related to instruction for students with disabilities.
- As appropriate, assist district staff to collect, record, interpret, and monitor data on student behaviors and progress on behavior and instructional programming.
- Develop and provide professional development for staff.
- Provide behavioral, educational, and social assessments for individual students.
- Assist district staff with development and implementation of behavior plans, discrete trial programs and other appropriate programs for students with disabilities that present behavior/learning challenges.
- Collect data and prepare a variety or reports for the purpose of documenting case history, assessments, and treatment of students.
- Travel to and from schools within or between districts and provide necessary home visits for the purpose of providing consultation, program supervision, and collaboration for students and families.
- Implement behavior programs with students at the direction of the supervising teacher. This may include physical restraints and physical escorts.
- Lift and position physically involved students.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service educational programming, and IEP meetings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with families.
- Strives to implement through supervision and action the philosophy of the Pilgrim Area Collaborative, its member districts and the PAC Extended Services program.

- All duties as assigned by the Program Director, PACES Director, and Executive Director.
- Follow all rules and regulations as required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
