Asphalt Lab and Road Technician

2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA *Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Performs asphalt rolling patterns
• Cutting roadway cores with a core drill
• Manage and coordinate with technicians on daily tasks and duties
• Communication - work in a collaborative environment, which requires strong verbal communication skills and relationships with project owners
• Pickup and deliver samples to be tested
• Assist in the lab when needed by running gradations, asphalt samples or cores
• Identifying and communicating in a timely manner
• Time-management - use time-management skills to perform many tasks within a tight deadline
• Computer skills - documenting accurate information, which requires basic computer knowledge

Requirements:

• Highschool graduate with strong math/science aptitude
• Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Email, adaptable to in-house software
• Read and understand job requirements and technical specifications
• Valid drivers license with clean MVR
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective internal and external communication
• Must be able to work nights for some projects
• Must be able to work at multiple sites/locations
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs for long periods of time

Qualifications:

• Must pass the background check, drug screen/physical
• Driving Record - (5 points or less)
• Good oral and written communication skills - not limited to: cell phone, email, computer, I-pad, etc.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, such as bending, standing, crouching, shoveling, etc.
• Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with others
