Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers is dedicated to creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and students. We are actively seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our Lake Orion team as a part-time custodian.
Our custodians are responsible for keeping the centers clean and in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform light and heavy-duty cleaning daily to maintain the standard of cleanliness that parents expect for their children.
REQUIREMENTS:
POSITION DETAIL:
Regular, Part-time
Standard shift: Monday-Thursday 6p-10p with option for later start, plus one 4-hour shift on the weekend Friday, Saturday or Sunday
Pay starting $15-$17/ hour depending on experience

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Having previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be 18 years or older
- Willing to complete a background check (conducted by Heartfelt Impressions)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Gather and empty trash daily.
- Clean, scrub, and sanitize garbage cans that are soiled.
- Ensure all containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals are clearly labelled and stored away from child areas.
- Clean and stock restrooms daily.
- Nightly; sanitize tables, chairs, counters, bookshelves, floors, sinks, and toilets.
- Must follow OSHA procedures and licensing standards for handling of chemicals and toxic materials.
- check and dust for cobwebs daily.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- The ideal candidate will be thorough, conscientious, and observant.
- Must have the ability to work with and around children.
- Must be able to move around easily and bend or squat as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
