Purpose
We're seeking a creative and connected student to help us engage the student body in university-wide events. This role is ideal for someone who understands student life and culture at UT, has a strong grasp of digital/social communication trends, and wants to help shape how students hear about and experience campus events.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive student communication and engagement plan in collaboration with UEE communications team.
Act as a student voice, liaison and advisor to ensure event messaging, visuals, and outreach methods resonate with the student population.
Monitor and report on student communication trends, tools, and platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, GroupMe, Discord, etc.).
Propose and implement creative strategies to boost student awareness and participation in University events and experiences.
Assist in managing student-facing digital channels, including content creation for social media, email newsletters, SMS text messages and event platforms.
Collect and share qualitative and quantitative student feedback on events and communications to inform future strategies.
Work cross-functionally with campus partners (e.g., Student Affairs, student organizations, Housing, etc.) to promote events through peer networks.
Attend and support select campus events to capture student experiences for marketing purposes (photo, video, live posts, etc.).
Track analytics and engagement performance for student-focused communications.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and marketing campaign development for signature events and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled at UT Austin.
Deep knowledge of UT Austin campus culture, student life and current student interests.
Strong communication and editing skills (written, visual, and/or social).
Experience managing or creating for social media channels preferred.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Passionate about building campus community through events, immersive experiences and storytelling.
Salary Range
$15.00+/hour
depending on qualifications/relevant experience

Work Shift
Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 semesters
10-12 hours per week
Weekly hours are flexible and can be scheduled around classes, but must fall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Work will be performed on campus in a professional office environment.
