Watershed Security is seeking a highly skilled and motivated FISMA Analyst to join our team supporting the NOAA Fisheries and protecting the systems ensuring the stewardship of the nation's ocean resources and their habitat. We are leading the effort to consolidate their systems in an AWS Cloud environment and ensuring these systems are safe, secure and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate shall assist NMFS in strategically consolidating its FISMA authorization boundaries to achieve greater efficiency, reduce management complexity, and improve the overall security posture of its IT enterprise.
- Must have experience consolidating FISMA boundaries in environments that have migrated their business systems to a cloud infrastructure.
- Experience conducting analysis of existing FISMA authorization boundaries.
- Experience developing strategic plans and roadmaps for FISMA boundary consolidation.
- Demonstrated experience developing technical and policy guidance for RMF Re-categorization and Re-authorization
- Demonstrated experience updating of System Security Plans (SSPs) and associated FISMA documentation and RMF
- Experience with multiple RMF roles (such as ISSE, ISSO)
- Must be able to provide security expertise and support during the technical migration of systems and data to the consolidated IT environments, ensuring that security controls remain effective throughout the transition.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience supporting FISMA systems and Accreditations
- Proven experience in IT security roles, preferably in a federal or governmental environment.
- Tracking and following Compliances Standards via NIST RMF
- Experiencing in Briefing Senior Level Executive on security items
- Knowledge of security frameworks and security tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and agencies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check.
- Position is remote with occasional meetings in Silver Springs, MD which are mandatory to attend
- Work hours are 8am -4.30pm Monday - Friday
PAY RANGE
Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $86,500 - $96,500 USD
