CERTIFIED TRAINER JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Certified Trainer
Reports To: General Manager, Managers & Training Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
Certified Trainers play a key role in developing strong, confident team members by delivering consistent, values-based training. They lead by example, model the right behaviors, and support the success of new hires and existing crew through effective communication, coaching, and a focus on our core values.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Delivery
- Conduct station-specific training using the Culver’s 4-step method and BBU e-learning tools
- Assign and track e-courses and position tests
- Guide trainees through training materials, ensuring comprehension and certification
- Provide honest, timely, and constructive feedback using real-world coaching techniques
- Reinforce learning with hands-on practice and clear expectations
Team Support & Communication
- Communicate trainee progress and concerns to managers using training docs and email
- Participate in check-in meetings and contribute to team culture
- Be available to support cross-training efforts and operational needs
Role Modeling
- Uphold Culver’s and BBG core values in all interactions
- Demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, and guest-first urgency
- Maintain high standards in cleanliness, safety, and food quality
Ongoing Development
- Complete the Train the Trainer program and stay current on all BBU training
- Stay flexible and open-minded to new training approaches and team dynamics
- Attend scheduled trainer meetings and continuously seek personal growth
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Trainer Certification and position tests
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm
- Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and teamwork
- Active completion of Culver’s Food Safety Training
