JOB SUMMARY: A position responsible for designing, building and maintaining software applications to support school division business and education processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in a related field (Software Engineering, Computer Science)
Preference will be given to applicants who have:
Proficiency in modern server-side development, particularly with ASP.NET Core (C#) and PHP 8+, including experience building secure, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, including Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation and integration
Front-end development expertise, especially with React, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and responsive design principles
Strong SQL development skills, with hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2019+, including query optimisation, stored procedures, and data integrity practices
Experience with version control systems, such as Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools, with a solid understanding of branching strategies and collaborative workflows
Exposure to ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with an understanding of financial workflows and data integration
Experience with reporting and analytics tools, especially Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modelling, and integration with enterprise systems
Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across departments and with external partners
Ability to work independently and within agile, cross-functional teams, managing priorities and delivering results in a dynamic environment
Relevant experience in educational or public sector IT environments, with a track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As per Collective Agreement.

Salary range -$38.21 - $46.10 per hour
