About the role
This is a full-time Facilities Manager role based in Ballarat. As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of various properties, ensuring a safe, comfortable and productive environment for all occupants. This is a strategic role that plays a crucial part in supporting Sodexo's overall business objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of assigned properties, including coordinating and supervising external contractors and service providers
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure building systems and equipment are operating at optimal efficiency
- Managing facility budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Liaising with building occupants, stakeholders and external service providers to address issues and implement improvements
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (5+ years) in a Facilities Management role, ideally within an GMP environment (desired)
- Strong knowledge of Hard and Soft services, maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements
- Excellent project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret building plans, technical specifications and maintenance manuals
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
