The Role
We are seeking a Drafter to join our Rpads & Highways Team in either Perth/ Adelaide. In this role, you’ll see yourself completing detailed Drafting tasks ensuring SMEC Corporate and Client standards are maintained to provide an efficient and high-quality product.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings;
- Using a combination of standard and modified Drafting methods/techniques in addition to those developed in previous assignments for the purposes of solving problems;
- Production of construction level documentation;
- Check print procedure;
- Issuing procedures;
- Vault data management processes;
- Revit structural modelling;
- Assume responsibility for the results of simple projects or sections of projects under supervision;
- Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ascertain information required to undertake drawings and documentation tasks;
- Carry out design tasks as directed to meet agreed outcomes and cost structure;
- Produce model and/or drawings to timeline;
About You
Suitable applicants will be/have:
- Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
- 5 years relevant drafting experience within the industry
- Familiar & experience in Civil Infrastructure and CADD technologies
- Software: CADD technologies with emphasis on the Autodesk suite of products
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise own workload
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
