The role:
Join our leadership team at our state-of-the-art prawn processing facility in Proserpine. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Processing Supervisor to lead our operations and drive a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is a permanent and full-time, hands-on supervisory role based at our Proserpine farm, approximately a 30-minute drive from Airlie Beach. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of our processing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate a large team to meet daily production targets and KPIs.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all OH&S policies, including our 8 Golden Safety Rules.
- Oversee the end-to-end management of product flow through the processing facility.
- Manage quality assurance by meticulously monitoring product labelling, box conditions, and temperatures.
- Ensure all controlled documents, including hygiene sheets, QA sheets, and transfer certificates, are accurately maintained.
- Provide direct, hands-on leadership on the floor, maintaining high standards of performance and behaviour.
Role requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory position within a processing environment (FMCG highly advantageous).
- Previous experience in seafood processing is highly desirable.
- Proven significant experience in delivering key operational outcomes.
- Critical competencies in Leadership, Zero Harm, Quality/Results Orientation, Judgement, and Problem Solving.
- Computer literate with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- A hands-on, proactive leader who is not afraid to be on the floor with their team.
- Must have full Australian working rights and own reliable transport.
