Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) may function as a part of the educational team to provide educationally based physical therapy services to special education students in Extended School Year program, as specified in the student's IEP, under the supervision of a physical therapist in accordance with the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Essential Functions:
- Ultimate outcomes are to promote/facilitate student participation in their educational placement.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods, and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

June 25 through July 31, 2025
Monday through Thursday
Flexible schedules may be available
Travel: Travel may be required for in home and itinerant instruction throughout Bucks County. Mileage is reimbursed in accordance with current IRS guidelines and rates.
Education and Experience:
Level of Degree:
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- PA licensure.
- Current Certificate of Authority to provide services under indirect supervision.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with students with Autism, Life Skills, multiple disabilities and/or other health impairments.
- Experience working in educational settings with professional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
