Reading Specialist K-6 at Mount Vernon City School District

The Reading Specialist must be a NYS certified reading teacher/literacy specialist. The reading teachers provides researched-based interventions to accelarate learning for students performing one or more grades below their grade level.

The Reading Teacher will provid small group instructuo to students in grades K-6.

The Reading Teacher is also the literacy specialist of the school building with the knowledge and capabilites to facilitate literacy professional development.
