Duties

Provides assistance and support to the staff in maintaining and up keeping of the facility grounds and related equipment.,Performs a variety of trades and craft duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities.,Assists in the maintenance and repair of building exteriors.,Patches and paints walls, replaces faucet washers, light bulbs and fuses. Hangs electrical fixtures and repairs screens and storm sashes.,Drives government provided vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies and food from the original source to the facility.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. 2. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. 3. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job. 4. Requires a valid state driver's license. Experience MUST be reflected on your Resume at the time of application in order to be considered for this position.

FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
