About the Department

The purpose of this class is to provide technical support to faculty, staff and students in a professional and courteous manner as well as to provide setup, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of computer, networking and multimedia equipment and related software.  

Position Duties

Actively pursuing an Associates degree in an IT related field at CCBC or graduated/transferred within the past semester. Must have and maintain at least a 2.5 grade average. Knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware, audio-visual equipment, networking concepts and/or server configuration preferred.

Positions located on the Catonsville and Essex campuses

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Respond to various types of Helpdesk tickets. 
  2. Troubleshoot basic problems and attempt first-call resolution, escalating as necessary 
  3. Utilize Helpdesk ticketing application to enter and track trouble calls 
  4. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of computing  and classroom equipment 
  5. Perform other tasks as assigned
