Materials Manager at Plastech Corporation

The Materials Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of material handling to maintain a high level of quality, consistency and productivity. This position ensures the material inventory is accurate and adjusts accordingly. In addition, the Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the material handling area, (i.e. keep all material and packaging clean and free from contamination and damage). In this role, you will also maintain inventory which includes lot integrity, performing cycle counts, sorting & labeling all material and making adjustments in electronic database to maintain accurate inventories.

Hours Available: 

• 1st Shift (7:00am to 3:30pm) - Monday thru Friday

Qualifications: 

• Three to five years of related experience or training preferred
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and professional drawings.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but non-engaging, written and oral instructions.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Apply good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
• A qualified candidate must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, DOQ.
