Company Description:

International sales has become the organic growth engine of our business. With consistent growth year on year and a strong pipeline ahead, it’s one of the most exciting parts of the Group. But as we scale, the need for focus, structure and ownership has never been greater. That’s why we’re creating a new senior leadership position, Group Head of International Sales Operations.

This is a role for someone who thrives on turning strategy into action. International already accounts for a major share of Group growth, but there is so much more headroom. White space markets, global tenders, new routes to market, pricing alignment and customer partnerships all represent opportunities, but only if someone takes full ownership of making them happen. This is not just about strategy; it’s about rolling your sleeves up, joining the dots across our brands and categories, and building the discipline that will take International sales from strength to strength.

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Commercial Officer, you will be accountable for working with markets to drive the  international sales P&L. Your focus will be on ensuring we capture growth opportunities, improve margin, and create consistency in how we operate across markets. That means:

  • Driving commercial execution across multiple international markets, ensuring cross-selling opportunities are realised. Multi market tenders and customer relationships are managed in a coordinated way.
  • Making sure the right actions are in place to deliver against plan and following up on enablers.
  • Scoping and activating white space markets, building the models and frameworks that allow us to enter new territories with confidence and pace.
  • Leading and enabling on key strategic initiatives, from licensing deals to Capex business cases, always balancing long-term value with operational execution.
  • Partnering with Finance to create consistency around pricing and trading terms
  • Embedding commercial excellence practices across the international team, from negotiation frameworks to S&OP discipline, to create sustainable capability for the future.

You’ll work closely with category leads, local market commercial teams, Finance and Transformation, always ensuring that international sales are aligned with wider Group priorities while still delivering results on the ground.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a senior commercial leader with the credibility and track record to shape International sales at Group level, but also the drive and resilience to make things happen day to day. This is not a role for someone who only wants to sit in the strategy space; it’s for someone who can move fluidly between boardroom conversations and operational detail.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in consumer goods, ideally food and drink, with a proven record of managing an international P&L of £100m+.
  • A track record of scaling international business, opening up new markets, and building commercial structures that drive growth.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to balance growth opportunities against margin and risk.
  • Experience of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing at the most senior levels of an organisation.
  • The resilience, adaptability and grit to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Additional Information:

This is a rare opportunity to step into a Group leadership role where International sales is not just an add-on, but a core growth driver. You’ll have the chance to shape the way we operate across markets, to lead on some of the most strategically important initiatives for the Group, and to create a legacy in building International into a world-class commercial function.
