Title: Senior User Experience Designer
We are SAP’s Procurement UX Team, part of the ISBN organization. Our mission is to deliver intuitive, consumer-grade experiences for enterprise procurement products. The UX team is a globally distributed team based in United States, India, Europe, Vietnam and Brazil bringing diverse perspectives to our design process. Our team’s goal is to bring consumer-like ease to large-scale enterprise products. We are a collaborative group of designers who strive to simplify complex workflows and delight users with meaningful, efficient, and elegant experiences. Our UX team in Bangalore is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer.
As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of SAP’s procurement products. You’ll lead design efforts for framework-level components and systems, collaborating across disciplines to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and specifications to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Lead and participate in collaborative design sessions with product management, engineering, and fellow designers.
- Work on framework-level design, including design systems, reusable components, and scalable UX patterns.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to build, refine, and understand the technical challenges of implementing design systems.
- Contribute to the documentation and internal evangelism of design components across various application teams.
- Conduct and analyze usability testing—not just for verification, but to inform and evolve design decisions.
- Engage with users and stakeholders to validate design solutions and gather feedback.
- Apply analytical thinking to gather requirements, balance competing needs, and find design compromises.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to align with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Influence product and UX strategy through thoughtful design leadership and collaboration.
Experience / Role Requirements (750 words):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design / Product Design / User Experience Design or related fields
- 7+ years of experience in user experience / product design / interaction design design preferably with B2B and/or large-scale rich internet applications and products.
- Excellent understanding of fundamental design principles and human interaction principles
- Strong understanding of design systems, component design, and framework-level UX.
- Experience collaborating with product owners and developers to co-create solutions.
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system; ideally, you’ve worked on or contributed to one before. This should reflect previous experience, interest, and expertise in system-level thinking and scalable design.
- Familiarity with Agile/Lean UX methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
