About the Team:
We are a diverse and highly skilled team of Credit professionals, experienced in Origination, Underwriting, and end-to-end Portfolio Monitoring. Our team specializes in Technology, Healthcare, Global Fund Banking, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Healthcare – Medical Office Building (MOB), Wine, and Community Development Finance (CDF) loans monitoring across Innovation Banking, Commercial Finance and General Bank. Additionally, the team supports the Centralized Cash Management Team (CCMT). Team works closely with Credit Solutions team members and Portfolio Managers to perform monthly, quarterly & annual monitoring of the loans.

As a Senior Analyst in the Credit Analysis team at First Citizens India GDC, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the Bank’s credit quality and supporting informed lending decisions. This role is critical to enabling the Bank to make confident lending decisions, manage risks effectively, and maintain trusted relationships with clients. In this role, you will Leverage tools such as Moody’s Credit Lens, and other commercial lending platforms to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights.
You’ll Partner with Global Credit teams to ensure Risk management and strengthen Portfolio performance.
Key Deliverables
As a Senior Analyst – Credit Analysis, you will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing management of Bank’s Credit portfolio. You will work closely with U.S.based Credit Officers, Portfolio Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high quality analysis and monitoring insights that help safeguard the Bank’s Credit exposure while ensuring client success.
General functions may include, but are not limited to:
Credit Portfolio Monitoring: Support ongoing monitoring of assigned credit portfolio to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with Loan agreement and risk policies.
Reporting Tasks Monitoring: Monitor and track monthly/quarterly reporting packages (arriving from US counterparts) to check for completeness of client information on the portal.
New Client Addition and Modification: Set up/upload new client information in the portal in tune with Loan Security Agreement; monitor and update the modifications in the portal in accordance with Loan Modification Agreements.
Financial Spreading & Analysis: Spread and analyze financial statements of borrowers in Moody’s CreditLens, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Covenant Monitoring: Track borrower compliance with financial and non-financial covenants, raising early alerts on potential breaches.
Borrowing Base Calculations: Perform accurate and timely borrowing base calculations, ensuring alignment with loan documentation and lending practices.
Reporting & MI: Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into portfolio performance, sectoral trends, and emerging risks.
Risk Alerts & Escalations: Support early identification of problem credits through financial deterioration, covenant breaches, or industry headwinds.
Collaboration: Partner with U.S. stakeholders across Credit, and Operations to ensure consistent standards, accuracy, and timeliness in deliverables.
Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance automation, standardization, and efficiency in portfolio monitoring processes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high level of accuracy in performance of all tasks. Adhere to reporting, financial spreading and covenant calculation KPIs/metrics, completing work within agreed to turnaround times. Report incidents of non-compliance items (e.g., differences in financial statements provided by client) to lead analyst/manager on a timely basis.
Mentoring juniors: Monitor tasks to be completed by other team members and support the manager in mentoring and training of new hire analysts.
Skills and Qualification
Functional Skills:
Hands-on experience in spreading, covenant monitoring, and credit reporting.
Strong knowledge of corporate lending products, credit documentation, and financial statement analysis.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while being an active team contributor.
Efficient and well organized, able to work under tight deadlines
Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
Ability to be flexible with shift timings (2 pm – 11 pm)
Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce / MBA(Finance).
Chartered Accountant / CFA / equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring in a bank, NBFC, or financial services firm.
Exposure to US accounting, GAAP, and IFRS
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools; familiarity with SQL, Power Bi , Tableau is an advantage.
Relationships & Collaboration
The role involves working with the Credit Analysis team, reporting to the Credit Analysis Manager. This role will have a comprehensive training across credit analysis processes, owning and managing an independent portfolio and collaboration with the lending team and other stakeholders. This role also requires strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
