Reporting to the Design Manager, the Experience Designer is responsible for designing compelling digital experiences and interactions for our customers, aligning design consistency and quality across Bupa digital channel, and driving a culture of continuous improvement in the Experience Design team. This role will work closely with a Conversion Rate Optimisation Manager and a Senior Experience Designer; and will be embedded in a delivery squad that designs and delivers for the Health Insurance application pathway. You will be working from discovery to delivery - identifying CRO tests, designing tests, learning from results, embedding successful designs at scale. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity. What will my day involve? This role is responsible for the following main areas: Experience Design - apply the customer's insights to inform an accessible, sustainable, innovative solution to design the best experiences for our users to achieve their goals.Customer Testing & Behavioural Validation - end to end experience of understanding design activities across the HCD process including design research, iterative design and prototyping and facilitation of usability testing.Experience Design Quality Management - ensure all design output is accurate, accessible and in line with Bupa brand and design guidelines. Coach other team members on the end-to-end content creation process and provide constructive feedback where required.Design System Alignment - responsible for the aligning and supporting, governance, adoption, and contribution of a unified Design System for digital experience assets. You will be responsible for validating and translating concepts into beautiful digital experiences in close collaboration with (Behavioural & Design) Researchers, Experience Designers, Service Designers, Content Designers, Product Managers/Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering, and other experts across the business. As Experience Designer within Bupa, you’ll help shape the next chapter in how our customers interact digitally with Bupa - to provide them healthier, happier lives. The Experience Designer within Bupa is critical to building a sustainable world-class digital experience capability. What will I bring? 3+ years working as a Product Designer, Experience Designer, UX/UI DesignerExperience in Conversation Rate Optimisation, Growth Design, experimentation and/or A|B testingA strong portfolio of work demonstrating previous experience in the aboveExperience working in an Agile delivery squad in a large enterprise, consulting or agencyEnjoy taking a data led approach and hypothesis led in your designA firm grasp of accessibility, responsive design, native standards, common UI patterns and usability best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information and ideas briefly and concisely for a broad audience of stakeholdersExpert knowledge of modern design tools and frameworks (Figma, Lottie), how to work with complex component libraries and the willingness to explore and adopt new tools as needed.Demonstrated customer-centric mindset, building a user experience with the customer in mind at every step of the journey.
