Volunteer Position

Life Sciences Prospective Student Facilitator Committee Members 

  • We are looking for enthusiastic Life Sciences students of all years to volunteer as part of our outreach and engagement committee. Volunteers will play a crucial role in representing the Life Sciences program at various introductory campus events at Queen's, helping prospective students learn more about the program, and fostering a welcoming environment for prospective students.

Applications will close on September 16th at 4PM. 

Time Commitment

8 month-term from September 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of 3-4 hours/week.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective students and their families at events like the Ontario Universities Fair, Fall Preview, March Break Open House, and Major’s Night, answering questions and providing information about the Life Sciences program.
  • Lead tours of the School of Medicine, offering insights into the Life Sciences program and facilities to help prospective students envision themselves within the program.
  • If in-person events are not possible, assist with virtual event alternatives such as Zoom sessions, providing similar support in an online format.
